This immersive hybrid of documentary and fiction unfolds in Jerada, Morocco, where a mine continues to be operated secretly, decades after its official closure. Together with the local residents, Randa Maroufi reconstructs the mine through tableaux vivants that combine 3D scans with Super 8 footage, creating an intimate, almost familial atmosphere. The lived experience becomes performance, transforming invisible labor into a collective act of resistance and memory. It won the Leitz Cine Discovery Award at the Cannes Film Festival Critics’ Week.
