Chrysoula, a Greek immigrant in New York, recounts her search for a new life, far from her village, Aris in the Peloponnese. Through small moments in the city, encounters with friends, caring for her son, and the commute home by train, a sense of fatigue, hardship, and nostalgia emerges. Footage from Aris reconstructs the bonds with her homeland. A tender portrait, caught between the struggle of daily life and love for Greece.
