He comes from the past, almost dead. Singapore Sling, a lonely man with no money, no home, and no friends, is searching for his lost love, Laura. He believes she’s dead, yet he keeps looking for her. He arrives at a house where two women are burying a corpse. He waits for dawn to find her, but nothing turns out as he imagined. Nikolaidis, drawing on Otto Preminger's Laura and Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard, recreates the monstrous and schizophrenic nature of the protagonists in an anti-patriarchal horror parody. A dark and nightmarish neo-noir with stunning black-and-white cinematography, the film remains one of the boldest and most unforgettable works of Greek cult cinema.
