Magic Lantern - STANDARD

Model 'STANDARD' manufactured by Ernst Plank. First produced in 1900, it was one of the most ‘commercial’ models of the company. It projected glass slides. The company 'Ernst Plank, Fabrik Optischer und Mechanischer Waren' was established in 1866 in Nuremberg. It produced ‘lanterns’ until the middle of the decade 1920-30. Later on, it was sold to the company 'Noris Projektion GmbH', which specialized in ‘consuming’ projection systems. These lanterns, of exceptional manufacturing quality, were made from 1900 up to 1910 to be used primarily by children as a toy.
