OCTOBER 28, 1940 -5:30 AM

The declaration of war finds the inhabitants of a small Macedonian village, Mikri Lefka, partying, but the young men leave immediately for the battle. As the front collapses, the Germans invade their village and their commander turns the state wood factory into an ammunition factory, obliging the inhabitants to work in it. In an atmosphere of violence and terrorism, the spirit of resistance fires up, until the liberation day comes and a new life begins. Leaders of the resistance forces were crazy- old man Tryfonas, who in reality was a sane and devoted patriot and his son Kyriakos who had lost both of his legs in the Albanian front.
