Summary Nikos undertakes the responsibility of caring for Maria and her brothers after the death of their father. He gets a job at the factory of Manos Giannidis, who, however, covets the unsuspecting girl and tries to seduce her. When she rejects him, he fires Nikos as well as the supervisor who had hired the young man in the factory. Later, he regrets his behavior and tries to make up, but fate plays strange games with him. He unintentionally hits Maria with his car, and the girl, now with amnesia, tells him that she wants to be his. Father Giannidis, however, who won’t tolerate further caprices and immoral behavior from his son, takes things in hand and puts things in their place.
