Summary A traditional barber, Meletis Kapsomanolis, who wants his daughter to marry a scientist, thinks he has found the right son-in-law in the person of a trainee lawyer, Mikes Logaras. The latter, despite the fact that he has been married for four years to Violeta, agrees to marry sweet Argyro. When Meletis discovers that his son-in-law is a libertine who already has an official wife, an official fiancée and an unofficial girlfriend, Kalliopi, he gets furious and decides to set things right. He takes action and persuades Violeta to forget her unfaithful fortune-hunting husband for the sake, of course, of his own daughter’s happiness.
