Summary A distinguished heart surgeon starts drinking in order to ease his pain after the painful loss of his wife and their child in a shipwreck. Soon he goes to pieces and abandons everything. A poor girl who has come to Athens to study medicine and works as a singer, recognizes him, supports and falls in love with him. Her love and efforts to help him get back on his feet make him rediscover himself and come back to life and his profession.
