Summary Dafni is a rich girl, whose harsh mother doesn’t allow her to see Petros, a poor guy, with whom Dafni is in love. Her family, in time, suffer a fall, both financially and socially, while Petros, who is still in love with her, is forced to misappropriate a significant amount of money from his job in order to help her. The embezzlement comes to light, and Petros ends up in prison. His discharge from prison coincides with the invasion by Italy, and soon he finds himself on the Albanian front. His girl patiently waits for him to come back to her.
