DOCTOR EPAMINONDAS

The first of five films of Greek-Egyptian collaboration and one of the few talking films where the leading actor is a great slapstick comedian. It was filmed in the Cairo studios, on the occasion of the visit of the Oikonomou and Kalouta troupe and was directed by the Jewish director Togo Mizrahi. The film was blasted in the reviews for its general sloppiness, but, unfortunately, there is no existing copy to support an opinion, either way.
