Summary A nice bachelor, Charalampos, is in love with his comely housekeeper Melpomeni, but is too embarrassed to admit it. At the same time, Melpomeni is in love with him, but she too lacks the courage to confess her feelings. However, the neighborhood butcher, Thodoros, has fallen head-over-heels in love with Melpomeni himself and one day approaches Charalampos to ask for her hand. Naturally, Charalampos refuses this request, and so Thodoros decides to abduct her. The other maid in the household, however, Toula – who has a crush on Thodoros – decides that it is time for everyone to admit their true feelings. So – she gets Thodoros herself; Charalampos takes Melpomeni, and his nephew Tony finds the love of his life in an actress.
