Summary A man from Thessaloniki goes to Athens to find and punish the crook who deceived his benevolent father. In the meantime, he falls in love with a young woman, and when they realise she is pregnant, they decide to get married. When the crook is murdered, the young man is suspected of being guilty and is arrested and sent to prison. The real murderer confesses seven years later, and the man is released. His beloved has disappeared, and he wanders like a tramp around Syntagma Square. He meets there two children who sell lottery tickets. The young girl is his daughter. Through a lucky lottery ticket he finds his beloved one again, and they live happily for the rest of their lives.
