Summary Achilleas, who works together with his friend Paminos at Prokopis’ gas station, tries, via correspondence, to find a rich woman from abroad to marry and, in this way, hit the jackpot. However, he doesn’t speak English, and so a friend of his, Marina, who is a singer and also has a crush on him, helps him with the correspondence. When Greek-American Daphne arrives in Greece, along with her aunt Betty, Achilleas borrows the car and villa of a rich playboy, Andreas. The latter, however, is pursued by the three brothers of a girl, whose honor they want him to redeem. Daphne soon realizes with whom she is dealing and leaves him to return to America. Achilleas, in the meantime, has realized how much he loves Marina, and alarmed by the possibility of losing her, marries her right away. As for aunt Betty, she has fallen in love with a con artist and decides to stay in Greece for good and get married, while her future husband promises to follow the straight and narrow.
