Summary Andreas Savvidis is a librarian, who sees the people around him exclusively as heroes from books, acting in the realms of fantasy. Literature is everything to him and he thinks that whatever exists and happens must be saved through writing. He is a profound chronicler of the lives of the people around him. So, he writes about the postman, who is a friend of his and whom he accompanies on a trip to Venice, a trip the postman won on a game show. He writes about Martha Drosou, a nurse with whom he has an affair, whom he follows to her apartment and quarrels with when another man comes between them. Another person he writes about is Christina, his colleague at the library and with whom he has an affair after breaking up with Martha. He writes about his mother, who lives in a Retirement Home as well as his younger brother who does not understand his strange behaviour. During the presentation of his latest book entitled “Martha”, Martha herself accuses him of bringing their private life into the limelight for money – for a just a couple thousand drachmas.
