Summary Ippokratis is Sophia’s uncle, an open-minded, progressive man, who tries to help his niece cope with her ultra-conservative father’s (Sokratis) unwillingness to let her marry the young lawyer she loves, Aristeidis. The father also reacts negatively to his son Petros marrying a secretary, Anna, but the smart uncle manages to change his mind and make him accept the new reality, which is so much different from the old days.
