HUMAN WATCH

A sympathetic watchmaker, Odysseas Akrivos, has arranged his life as regularly as clockwork. He lives with his son Angelos, a modern young man who plays music in a rock band, his daughter Katina, who is in love with a modest young man, Gerasimos, and his sister-in-law Efterpi. Their quiet and well-adjusted life is often disturbed by the uproarious widow of his former partner, Elektra, who often visits them. The café keeper Tryfonas likes Elektra and hangs around her a lot, while his sister-in-law Efterpi is still unmarried because the barber who is flirting with her insists on a dowry. One night, while Odysseas is in a nightclub trying to get the café keeper to marry Elektra, he discovers an unsuspected aspect of his children’s life and is completely undone. He loses his all, and in order to cool down he retires to his brother-in-law’s farm, but alas! The solitary life is too much for him. He decides to go back to his work and to the rapidly changing world, without, however, asking anyone’s opinion.
