Summary Kaiti (Tzeni Karezi) refuses to marry the old man that her parents have chosen for her and instead runs away, wearing her wedding dress and gets into a truck belonging to an itinerant merchant (Nikos Rizos). Her aim is to find the man that she loves, who is in the army (Paris Alexander). He also goes absent without leave from his army unit in order to find her. After a real odyssey and a chase with many funny incidents, the couple finally meet up and get married.
