Summary Diamantis and Sarantis are flatmates and friends. The former is the owner of an eating house in which the latter is employed as a waiter. They quarrel all day long. In their neighbourhood lives a beautiful and lively seamstress named Fanitsa. Both Diamantis and Sarantis are in love with her, as is a third guy named Loulis. The latter’s rich and snobbish aunt doesn’t want to hear about Fanitsa. When Diamantis and Sarantis win the lottery, they start thinking about how to make use of their money. They decide to buy a bigger restaurant when the old building in which the eatery is located is demolished. Loulis gets to work there, to get away from his unbearable aunt. Fanitsa is hired as cashier. Now, the three love-struck men are each thinking about how to ask her to marry them. However, she tells them that she is going to marry Minas, a young motor mechanic, whom she has been in love with for some time.
