CONCERT FOR MACHINE GUNS
In Athens a little while before the explosion of World War II Niki (Tzeni Karezi), a servant of the Army General Staff, is accused of leaking top secret documents to an Italian agent. The accusation is valid. The girl was been blackmailed with the life of her brother, who studied in Italy. She doesn’t attempt to defend her self and she is indifferent to whether she will be sentenced to death. She however accepts General Dareios’ proposition to keep on leaking documents to the Italians, which will be modified so as to deceive the enemy. Captain Theodorou is involved in the case and is in love with Niki. Theodorou is arrested for embezzling documents, stands before the court martial and is sentenced to death. His execution was indeed fake and the day the Greek troops step into Koritsa he appears flesh and blood to Niki who cannot hide her surprise.
