The program informs us that Kostas Kotzias’ and Tasos Livaditis’ script concerns the dreams of some poor people in Athens and their failure. It favorably accepts the influences of the film from Italian new realism and French cinema of the 1940’s, the cinema aesthetics of the “amateur” director (Alekos Alexandrakis), the photography of Dimos Sakellarios and the performance of the actors, but at the same time it mentions that the “linear” and “sophisticated” narration remains at the level of description. Finally, the program presents the distinctions the film was awarded with.
