ILIAS OF THE 16TH PRECINCT

Summary Three friends, Ilias, Thomas and Vangelis, down to their last penny and desperate, decide to rob Vangelis’ boss, a bar owner, pawnbroker and fence for stolen goods. Thomas is going to do the break in, while Ilias, dressed as a policeman, will be on the look out. During the execution of the plan, in a nearby home, the lady of the house realizes one of her rings is missing; she blames the housekeeper and calls mock-policeman Ilias in to take charge. Ilias acts like a real policeman and takes the housekeeper to the nearest police station, where, when asked, he claims he belongs to precinct 16 and just happened to be passing by. Meanwhile, Thomas is also being arrested and taken to the police station, where Ilias, pulling some amazing stunts, finally proves the housekeeper’s innocence, uncovers his boss’s illegal activity and manages to get Thomas off scot free.
