Summary Max Colman, branch manager of a multinational company based in New York, suggests to an acrobat motorcyclist, Stefos Mavridis, who performs the “round of death” at a luna park, to sell them his heart – in case an accident occurs and he loses his life. At the urging of his girlfriend Roza, Stefos accepts and, in time, becomes a hostage of the company and ends up selling them all his organs. At the same time, he realizes that Roza is taking advantage of him and starts to become angry, but the people of the company (which inexpensively purchases in advance organs from young, healthy people who work in dangerous professions, and subsequently sells them at a great profit to rich patients), don’t let him out of their sight. And when a client appears who is willing to pay a huge sum of money for Stefos’ testicles, Colman orders his killing. Stefos, feeling trapped and in despair, rides his motorcycle with a vest of dynamite. His body is blown up, leaving nothing of value for the merchants of death.
