Summary Konstantinos Semperkos, a distinguished psychiatrist whose patients adore him, has the ideal relationship with an active businesswoman, Vera Makri. On the night of his lecture, his brother Alexandros, who is an up and coming young director (indeed, a script of his was rejected by the Greek Film Center), tries to commit suicide because he found out that his girlfriend Evita is seeing other men as well. At the same time, his hysterical mother decides to divorce his kind-hearted father, who, in shock, loses his senses of hearing and speech. Meanwhile: the marriage of his closest friends is in crisis; his secretary and former patient wants to become a nun (but because she is in love with him she sets fire to Vera’s house); and some of his patients with erotic problems run amok and turn his office upside down. Konstantinos deals with all these problems with proverbial self-control, until he reaches the point where can’t take it anymore and explodes, driving everyone and everything away.
