BRAVE DIE TWICE (THE)
During the German Occupation, Mrs. Dimitra, widow of the aviator Nikiforos Avgeris, lives with her daughter Natasa and her mother-in-law. One day, she accidentally meets Charis, who looks astoundingly like her late husband, and asks him to play the role of her husband for her daughter’s sake. Charis accepts, and, for a period of time, they live together. The Germans, however, believing that he is the real Avgeris, arrest him. He doesn’t reveal his real identity, thus risking his life, but in the end he manages to escape and survive – now as Avgeris.
