BAIT (THE)

Summary Bampis Valeris, a crook and card shark, along with his friend and partner Manthos, decide to cheat all the rich people who fall into their nets. They are going to set up their operation on a tourist island like Rhodes, but they need an attractive woman for bait. Kaiti, a girl who sings and is a paid woman companion in a club in Troumpa, is the one they need. They hire her and train her to fish rich men, whom she leads to the gambling table where her own people strip them of their cash. The “business” goes well, but at some point the police uncover the two frauds and arrest them. They also uncover Kaiti, but a police officer sets her free to enjoy her love with one of her innocent victims, Miltos.
