Summary Filimon and Pafsanias are two unfortunate friends and roommates, who constantly strive to pay back their debts – mostly the rent, because their landlady is a grouch. Their clumsiness, however, doesn’t help them keep a job: neither in a gas station nor in an antique shop nor as waiters in a night club where Michalis sings (Michalis is a poor university student and a very nice person who lives in the same courtyard and is in love with Soula). Soula’s uncle Menios, however, wants her to marry rich boy Tasos, but she is also in love with Michalis. In the end, however, she manages to cajole her uncle into consenting and becomes a successful singer at the side of her beloved.
