BLOOD-RED SOIL (THE)
In 1907, in Thessaly, a man incites the poor peasants to rebellion so that they can own their own land instead of working for the big landowners. Odysseas (Nikos Kourkoulos) is the son of such a landowner (Manos Katrakis), but he refuses to oppose the peasants. On the contrary, he clashes with his brother (Giannis Voglis) who has kidnapped his beloved (Mary Chronopoulou). Odysseas fights with his brother and kills him. After his father’s death he shares his fortune with the peasants.
