Summary Eighteen-year-old Sasha and his younger friends Kotsian and Panagiotis are in the center of a group of Russian-Pontian migrants from Kazakhstan who live in Menidi and dream of conquering the world. Sasha is in constant conflict with his father, gives up his work at a construction site – which he hates – and pushes Panagiotis into the arms of a rich young homosexual, Nikos. When a white slaver, Giorgos, asks him to guard a prostitute, Natasa, until he finds someone to sell her to, Sasha falls in love with her and takes her to his home. His father, however, without hesitation, throws her out into the street. In the meantime, a friend of his dies from adulterated heroine, and Panagiotis soon has the same luck as he tries to escape from Nikos’ apartment, which he was intending to rob. Sasha asks Kotsian to help them leave the city, but he is forced to give them away to Giorgos. In the conflict that follows, Sasha kills Giorgos and is arrested by the police, while Natasa follows her own destiny.
