Summary Against her will, Eirini, a young and beautiful woman, is taken by her father to a monastery, where he had vowed to take her when she was a little girl. There she suffers untold hardships at the hands of the “saintly” abbot, who treats the nuns like slaves and mistresses. Later on, and with the help of her childhood friend Dorothy, who came from America and associates with people from high society, she manages to run away, but can’t escape the claws of prostitution. In order to survive, she starts selling her body to Dorothy’s rich “friends”, on account of Zachos, who takes advantage of both of them.
