REMEMBER, MY LOVE

Elsa (Betty Arvaniti), her husband Alkis (Kostas Karras) and their friend Vera (Vera Krouska) are cruising on the couple’s sailboat. They moor at Nauplion, where Markos (Giorgos Tzortzis), the man Elsa once loved, is held in the local prison. It all began years ago, when Markos, a poor boy from a small village, rich boy Alkis and Elsa, a wealthy city girl, were all students at the Athens Polytechnic. Elsa respected both friends but felt a special attraction to Markos. Alkis found Markos a job as night watchman at his father’s enterprise, but later accused him of theft and murder, sending him to prison. After that, Alkis persuaded Elsa to forget Markos and marry him. But now Alkis is seduced by Vera and cheats on his wife, while Elsa goes to meet Markos on his release from prison. The frame-up is then uncovered and Elsa, following her heart, abandons her husband.
