THYMIOS SCREWS UP

Thymios Boukouras (Kostas Chatzichristos) leaves his village, Vlachokerasia, his wife and two kids, and with two baskets of food and a couple of chicken in hand comes to Athens to find work. At the train station he meets Lisa, who is ready to kill herself because her fiancé has abandoned her. Thymios saves the girl, and she asks him to pretend he is doctor Beliris, the lost fiancé, and escort her to her strict father’s house. Thymios indeed agrees to pose as her man, but finds himself caught in the middle of a terrible mix up: Lisa’s ex-fiancé, Lakis Vranas –from whom her father had separated her, driving her into the arms of a married man, Mr. Vengopoulos, who posed as Doctor Beliris– returns, and everything becomes normal again. So Thymios takes the train back to his village, having helped two young people to find happiness.
