THYMIOS VS. TSITSOS

Thymios (Kostas Chatzichristos) is a cunning little guy from the village of Petromagoula, who comes to Athens hoping to make it big. He gets a job at the office of a private detective, Thodoris, where another man from the same village, clumsy Timolis, also works. They both try their best to accomplish their assignments, although, more often than not, they screw up. Thodoris puts up with them because Thymios bears an amazing resemblance to Tsitsos, a notorious rogue – except for Tsitsos’ wooden leg. Tsitsos, taking advantage of this resemblance, robs a jewelry store and then pins the robbery on Thymios, who is arrested. Several testimonies incriminate him, but he is finally saved by a singer who had once also been a victim of Tsitsos. So Thymios and Timolis manage to send Tsitsos to prison and pocket the reward, returning to Petromagoula.
