Summary Two unemployed wretches (Nikos Stavridis and Giannis Gkionakis) have been friends for years and have many adventures together. They fall in love with two girls (Kleo Skouloudi and Popi Lazou); they mess with the police; they pretend they are African chiefs, and they encounter all sorts of impossible situations. Their salvation comes from America, where the poem one of them has written wins first place in a poetry contest. The award is 50,000 dollars, which enables them to marry the women they love.
