Summary A big industrialist on Cyprus, Giorgos Karras, doesn’t agree to have his daughter Jenny marry Nikos, a poor fisherman with a talent for singing, although the two young people love each other very much. On the day of her birthday, her father obliges her to become engaged to someone he chose for her and so forces Nikos out of his daughter’s life. Disappointed, he completely devotes himself to singing. As is usually the case in such films, Nikos soon becomes a popular singer, and Jenny, who all this time suffered from a strange disease, loses her eyesight. When her fiancé abandons her, also leading her father to financial ruin, Nikos’ time has come to save her father, help Jenny get well - and find happiness together.
