Summary A poor but very decent teacher, Telis, who has resigned from his job, finds a winning lottery ticket in the street. Suddenly, his life changes radically. The man responsible for all this is Mr. Fokion, uncle of his adorable Margy, who tries in this way to use Telis to embezzle his niece’s lucky lottery winnings. Fokion employs every possible means to achieve his purpose, but Telis always manages to get away. With the help of a former colleague, Alekos, he succeeds in subverting all of Fokion’s schemes and, in the end, marry Margy.
