Summary Kosmas (Kostas Chatzichristos) is informed that his mother must undergo an operation. He asks for the help of a relative (Nikos Fermas) to cover the expenses. He is already having a difficult time financially since he is trying to gather money to marry his fiancée (Martha Vourtsi). His relative agrees to pay but asks from Kosmas, in return, to stage a marriage with the Spanish singer (Martha Karagianni) from the cabaret he runs, so that she can obtain a residence permit. The wedding turns out to be a social event and is widely publicized, causing Kosmas a lot of problems and misunderstandings with his fiancée. In the end, a series of happy coincidences obviates the false wedding and his mother’s operation and leaves Kosmas with the money needed to marry and start a family.
