Summary A hired gun has come from America to Greece in order to kill Petros Pelekis, an industrialist – to end a bloody vendetta that has lasted for many years. Petros has been informed of the assassin’s arrival and is alarmed. He is so terrified that many amusing incidents occur, since he suspects everybody, even his own wife. The hired gun, though, is someone he couldn’t possibly suspect, that is, his own secretary. However, she realises that her boss has not been involved in the vendetta, so she decides to let him live happily with his wife.
