Once lovers, Ferdinand, a successful journalist, who is sufocating in his tedious married life, and Marianne, an enigmatic woman who has a passion for guns and money, accidentally meet again and in a flash, their old flame rekindles. Hunted by hired assassins on the trail of Marianne, they escape the bourgeois conventions of Paris and will live the adventure of an absolute, crazy love affair. The anarchic wanderings of "the last romantic couple on earth" lead them nowhere, or rather to an explosive finale on the mediterranean coast.
