A short study of the interior of amaryllis flowers, shot on 16mm film. The central pistol, the stamens and the anthers, which produce the yellow pollen, are set against the colour field of the petals.
Jayne Parker is an artist and filmmaker living and working in London. Her work has been widely shown in art institutions, on television and in film and music festivals. The compilation Jayne Parker: British Artists’ films was released by the BFI in 2008. Her films are distributed by LUX. She teaches at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London.
