Film synopsis:
Maria returns to her island on the day that the inhabitants are preparing to honor the memory of a hero of the Resistance, Dimitris Boumas, with whom she was in love. The girl tells the father of the deceased that the sabotage was not performed, as everyone thinks, by his son, who had come from the Middle East for this specific purpose, but by a shepherd, Loukas. The father of the hero was the 13th man that the Germans were to execute in retaliation for blowing up of a munitions depot, but he managed to escape from the truck that was transporting them to the execution area. Loukas was executed in his place. Now, the survivor and father of the hero must see to the restoration of the memory of the dead Loukas.
